The Nurse Practitioner takes exceptional care of people by providing and coordinating health care to specific patient populations using the nursing process, and practicing within the guidelines of a formal collaborative arrangement with physician(s) in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care.
The Nurse Practitioner may act as the clinical educator working with staff on annual competencies, new procedures, and advanced practice skills. This position will also provide care for patients in areas of the hospital as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, the age of the patient served.
