The Staff Nurse (RN) takes exceptional care of people by coordinating and leading the patient care team in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care in accordance with the guidelines and standards of nursing care as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act.
The Staff Nurse (RN) performs all responsibilities/duties required by Nursing Administration as defined in the scope of service to assure that the unique nature of the patient is addressed. This includes, but is not limited to, the age of the patient served. The Staff Nurse in Nursing Administration will provide care for patients in all areas of the hospital as needed. The Staff Nurse works in premium pay positions and/or out of a centralized staffing environment, and may also function in specialized leadership roles centrally or for a specific area.
