The Staff Nurse (RN) takes exceptional care of people by coordinating and leading the patient care team in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care in accordance with the guidelines and standards of nursing care as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act.
The RN performs all responsibilities/duties required by the Critical Care units as defined in the scope of service, to assure that the unique nature of the patient is addressed. This includes, but is not limited to, the age of the patient served in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), Emergency Unit (EU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Transport Team, Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Cardiology.
